Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to participate in the private beta and must provide accurate account information. Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.

Your content

You keep ownership of the reviews, lists, comments, and profile material you create. You give Beaten the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content according to the visibility you choose.

Do not post unlawful material, harassment, personal data you do not have permission to share, or content that infringes another person's rights. Mark review spoilers accurately.

Moderation

Beaten may limit distribution, remove content, or restrict accounts when needed to protect users or enforce these rules. You may appeal a moderation decision through the published support channel.

Beta availability

The beta may change, pause, or contain errors, and access is provided on a beta basis without a promise that every feature will always be available. We work to preserve journal data, and when the beta ends you will receive advance notice and an opportunity to export your journal before any transition.

Third-party data

Game information may come from providers such as IGDB, and optional account connections remain subject to their own terms. Provider data is kept distinct from user-authored journal data.

Warranties and liability

The beta is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Beaten is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the beta.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the beta evolves. Material changes will be announced through the support channel or an in-product notice, and the effective date on this page will change with them. Continuing to use the beta after that date means you accept the updated terms.
