Maihito, who grew up in Hokkaido after leaving Sakurazaka City, returns to his childhood town to attend Sakurazaka Private Academy due to his parents circumstances. Surrounded by friends with whom he could casually joke around, a childhood friend who had followed him from Hokkaido, a beautiful girl admired by the entire school, and a homely neighbor, he goes about his everyday life until a chance encounter leads him to fall in love.
