Artful Escape

The Artful Escape is a 2D side-scrolling platformer that follows Francis Vendetti, a folk musician grappling with his famous uncle's legacy while searching for his own artistic identity. Players explore psychedelic dimensional environments guided by a mysterious being called Lightman, navigating forgiving platforming mechanics including double jumps and environmental interactions through a cosmic guitar. The game emphasizes exploration and character dialogue over combat, featuring no enemies or health systems. Musical jam sessions serve as boss encounters, challenging players to repeat sequences of sounds in Simon Says-style gameplay with room for creative timing and experimentation.
